Corporate Communications Manager

About the role

The Corporate Communications Manager will lead Heritage Energy’s reputation strategy, shaping narratives for global stakeholders and protecting the brand across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise‑wide reputation and crisis management programs, including audits, simulations and training.
• Advise senior leadership on communication strategy, crafting speeches, presentations and thought‑leadership content.
• Build and maintain relationships with traditional and digital media, securing positive coverage and managing inquiries.
• Oversee digital presence, including websites, social media and online reputation monitoring.
• Design stakeholder engagement plans for governments, regulators, communities, investors and NGOs.
• Create and enforce brand guidelines, producing press releases, articles, blogs and marketing materials.
• Lead internal communications to foster transparency and alignment across the global workforce.
• Manage the communications budget and mentor a high‑performing team.
• Measure and report on communication effectiveness using global metrics.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of progressive corporate communications leadership, preferably in Oil & Gas E&P.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, PR or Marketing; Master’s degree highly preferred.
• Extensive experience in multinational environments and deep knowledge of the Nigerian/African media landscape.
• Proven track record in reputation management, crisis communications and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and project management abilities.
