About the role

Aurora Consult Ltd is seeking a skilled Video Editor to transform raw footage into polished, engaging content for various social media platforms. The role is based in Ibadan & Oyo State and focuses on creating short‑form and long‑form video assets.

Key responsibilities

• Select the best footage, audio, and supporting media, then add subtitles, captions, music, sound effects, graphics, and B‑roll.
• Improve colour, lighting, and audio quality, and adapt videos for different platforms and formats.
• Organise project files and media assets, ensure videos are ready for publication, and make revisions based on feedback.
• Occasionally assist with filming when based locally.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional video editing experience.
• Strong experience editing Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook content, as well as long‑form YouTube videos, vlogs, podcasts, and interviews.
• Good understanding of storytelling, hooks, pacing, audience retention, and current social media trends.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without step‑by‑step instructions.

Required skills

• Video editing software proficiency (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
• Colour correction and audio‑cleaning expertise.
• Subtitles, captions, and B‑roll editing.
• Creation of graphics and transitions for short‑form social media videos.
