About the role

We are seeking a skilled, organised, and reliable Cook to join our restaurant in Wuse 2, Abuja. The successful candidate will prepare and cook meals according to the menu, maintain food quality and consistency, and ensure hygiene and safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following the restaurant’s menu and recipes.
• Ensure food is fresh, properly seasoned, well‑presented, and served on time.
• Maintain consistent food quality, taste, and portion sizes.
• Prepare ingredients and organise the kitchen before service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, equipment, and work areas.
• Follow food safety, storage, and handling procedures.
• Monitor kitchen supplies and inform management when ingredients are low.
• Minimise food waste and use ingredients responsibly.
• Work with other kitchen and restaurant staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Cook in a restaurant, hotel, or similar establishment.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen hygiene.
• Ability to prepare meals consistently and efficiently.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Reliable, punctual, neat, and attentive to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff.
• Relevant culinary training or certification is an advantage.
