Cake Baker

About the role

The J-Six Group is looking for an experienced Cake Baker to join its bakery team in Ijora, Lagos. You will be responsible for producing and decorating cakes to meet customer specifications while maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Bake and decorate cakes according to customers’ specifications.
• Decorate regular bakery items following company standards.
• Assess raw material quality before baking.
• Produce various icings, frostings, and fillings based on cake type and preferences.
• Maintain clean, polished, and fully stocked display refrigerators.
• Record baking operations accurately to ensure profitability.
• Take inventory of supplies and order new stock as needed.
• Ensure proper storage of baking utensils and sanitize work areas and equipment.
• Assist the ice‑cream team during downtime in the cake section.
• Comply with all health and safety processes.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience in baking and decorating.
• Knowledge of stocktaking and record‑keeping.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.
