Control System Engineer (Port Harcourt)

About the role

INTECH Automation Intelligence is looking for a Senior Design & Application Engineer (Control System Engineer) in Port Harcourt. The role advances process automation solutions for industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, utilities and renewable energy, covering integrated control systems, SCADA virtualization, wellhead automation and telecommunication.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement hardware for control systems such as DCS, SIS and FGS, focusing on DeltaV DCS, SIS, Yokogawa, PI and GE Mark VI.
• Ensure compliance with major industrial standards and apply a conceptual understanding of them across project phases.
• Analyse customer specifications, including FRS, P&IDs, C&E diagrams, drawings, narratives and philosophies.
• Perform system testing, FAT for control systems and site work, including commissioning and startup.
• Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and communicate technical information clearly.

Required profile

• 6 to 8 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
• Hands-on experience with 2 to 3 PLC platforms, such as Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley), Siemens and Schneider Electric.
• Exposure to 1 to 2 DCS platforms, including DeltaV, Yokogawa and GE Mark VI.
• Prior site service experience with willingness to travel and stay on site for long periods.

Required skills

• Strong instrumentation knowledge, including field instruments, control valves and calibration concepts.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and solar power systems.
• Functional requirement specifications, P&IDs and cause-and-effect diagrams.
