Assembly Maintenance & Overhaul Technician (Electro-Mechanical)

About the role

Baker Hughes is hiring an Assembly Maintenance & Overhaul Technician (internal title: ARMO Tech - Electro Mech I) for its Assembly, Repair and Maintenance (AMO) team. The team assembles and tests equipment used across science, mechanical and electrical engineering, physics and geoscience, and collaborates with service delivery teams to develop innovative tools. The technician supports customer installations and maintenance at field locations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in reworking, repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment.
• Perform complex and difficult tests with minimal instruction and documentation.
• Identify and communicate technical problems using logical troubleshooting techniques.
• Provide coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence.
• Ensure compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.

Required profile

• HND in Electrical or Mechanical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance-related experience in an electro-mechanical function.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists, and to follow formal procedures and maintenance practices.

Required skills

• Knowledge of fluid power technology, AC/DC circuits and electro-mechanical devices.
• Advanced soldering and assembly of electro-mechanical devices.
• Proficiency with multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments.
• Proficiency with measurement and gauging equipment and processes.
• Advanced computer skills.
