Control System Engineer – Industrial Automation

About the role

INTECH Process Automation seeks a Control System Engineer to design, implement and commission advanced control, safety and automation solutions for oil & gas, petrochemical and energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement hardware for specialized control systems, including DCS, SIS and FGS, focusing on DeltaV, Yokogawa, PI & GE Mark VI.
• Ensure adherence to major industrial standards throughout project phases.
• Interpret customer specifications such as Functional Requirement Specifications, P&IDs, cause‑and‑effect diagrams and gather necessary project information.
• Perform system testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning and startup on site.
• Provide technical communication, documentation and support travel for on‑site assignments.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
• Hands‑on experience with 2–3 PLC platforms (Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric).
• Exposure to 1–2 DCS platforms (DeltaV, Yokogawa, GE Mark VI).
• Strong instrumentation knowledge, including field instruments, control valves and calibration concepts.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and solar power integration.
• Willingness to travel and stay on‑site for extended periods.

• Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
• Fire & Gas Systems (FGS) design.
• Interpretation of P&IDs, Functional Requirement Specifications, cause‑and‑effect diagrams.
• Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and commissioning.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
