Centrifugal Operator

About the role

The Centrifugal Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring centrifugal machines that separate sugar crystals from mother liquor during the refining process. The role ensures product quality, adheres to GMP standards, and supports overall plant efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor centrifugal machines to efficiently purge molasses from sugar massecuite.
• Observe sugar crystal colour and quality during the purging cycle to meet process standards.
• Set and adjust operational parameters such as speed, cycle time, and wash water.
• Assist in maintaining centrifugal machines and auxiliary equipment in good working condition.
• Maintain station housekeeping and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across all unit activities.
• Ensure compliance with QMS, FSSC, OHSAS, and other management systems.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Shift Centrifugal Supervisor.

Required profile

• OND in a science‑related discipline or High School certificate with relevant experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in the Food and Beverage industry, preferably with separation/centrifugation processes in sugar production.
