About the role
Jades of Green Consulting is hiring a full-time Continental Cook in Lagos (Marina). The cook prepares a wide range of continental dishes and works closely with the kitchen team to deliver consistent, well-presented meals.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of continental dishes, including pasta, grilled meats, fish, chicken, soups, sauces, salads and other menu items.
- Prepare ingredients, marinades, stocks, sauces and garnishes ahead of service.
- Follow standard recipes, portion sizes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency.
- Make sure all dishes are properly cooked, attractively presented and served at the correct temperature.
- Assist in developing new dishes and improving existing menu offerings when required.
Required profile
- Basic culinary training or evidence of practical cooking ability.
- Preferably up to 1-2 years of kitchen experience; promising culinary graduates may be considered.
- Accepts feedback and follows instructions, reliable, a team player and pays attention to detail.
Required skills
- Basic knife skills
- Understanding of food hygiene
- Willingness to learn
