Consultant Analyst – Data Analysis, QA & Capacity Building

About the role

Evidence Action is seeking a Consultant Analyst to strengthen the West and Central Africa Data Analytics and Learning (DAL) team’s capacity to deliver high‑quality Comprehensive Facility Survey (CFS) analyses. The role involves hands‑on technical coaching, development of analysis protocols and SOPs, and serving as the primary quality assurance reviewer.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical coaching to the primary analyst on KPI construction, data re‑binning, and survey logic.
• Lead structured learning sessions covering KPI definitions, survey design, and indicator derivation.
• Act as the primary quality assurance reviewer across a two‑stage review protocol for all CFS analysis outputs.
• Co‑develop pre‑analysis protocols, SOPs and a two‑stage review checklist with the DAL team.
• Support broader data analytics by creating a standardized output validation protocol for non‑CFS analyses and conducting an end‑to‑end quality review of a selected program analysis.

Required profile

• Experience in data analysis and quality assurance within health or development programs.
• Proven ability to coach teams and develop structured analytical protocols.
• Strong understanding of survey data, KPI development and statistical validation.
