Commission Sales Associate - Insurance

About the role

Heirs Insurance Group, a family of insurance companies covering general, life and brokerage services, is hiring a full-time hybrid Commission Sales Associate based in Lagos. The role combines in-office and work-from-home arrangements and centres on identifying prospective clients, presenting insurance products and guiding them through quotation, application and onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Generate leads and conduct sales calls and meetings
• Present insurance products and guide customers through the quotation, application and onboarding process
• Follow up on inquiries and maintain accurate records in CRM or sales tracking systems
• Collaborate with underwriting and customer service teams to ensure smooth policy issuance and client support
• Meet sales targets and take part in marketing activities
• Stay informed about product updates and industry trends to give clients relevant advice

Required profile

• Strong sales and negotiation abilities, with a proven capacity to meet or exceed revenue targets
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and long-term client relationships
• Basic financial and insurance literacy, able to explain policy features and benefits clearly
• Solid organisational and time management skills, including record-keeping and lead follow-up
• Ability to work independently and adapt to both in-person and remote environments
• Prior experience in sales or customer-facing roles, preferably in financial services or insurance, is an advantage
• A relevant degree (business, marketing, finance or similar) is beneficial but not strictly required
