College Hospital Nurse (Part‑time)

About the role

The College Hospital Nurse provides first‑aid, basic nursing care and immediate attention to students and staff who become ill or sustain injuries on campus. Working closely with the College Hospital Doctor, the nurse assesses, manages and follows up health concerns, ensuring prompt referral for cases that need further medical intervention.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑aid, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and monitor patients for any changes.
• Assist the College Hospital Doctor during consultations, examinations, procedures and health‑education programmes.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records of consultations, treatments, injuries and follow‑up care.
• Ensure the clinic, first‑aid boxes, medical equipment and supplies are regularly inspected, maintained and replenished.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate emergency medical support when required.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification from a recognised institution.
• Previous experience in paediatric, school, community, clinic, hospital or general nursing is an advantage.
• Strong observation, assessment, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, responsible and approachable disposition.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the College Hospital Doctor.
