Chief Information Officer (CIO)

About the role

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is accountable for defining and executing the organisation's enterprise technology, digital, data, analytics and AI strategy. The role ensures technology drives revenue growth, enhances customer engagement, improves operational excellence and maintains regulatory compliance while fostering cyber resilience and superior employee and customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise-wide technology, digital, data, analytics and AI strategy aligned with the company’s strategic ambition.
• Ensure technology enables revenue growth, customer engagement, operational excellence, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, cyber resilience and superior employee/customer experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field; Master's/MBA is an advantage.
• 12–15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including 5+ years at executive level leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven delivery of large‑scale modernisation, cloud migration, cybersecurity uplift and data programmes.
• Experience managing multi‑million‑naira budgets and complex vendor ecosystems.

Required skills

• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• AI/Data Science expertise and AI governance knowledge.
• IT governance frameworks: COBIT 2019, ITIL 4, TOGAF.
• Enterprise Architecture and portfolio management capabilities.
