Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director – Insurance Brokerage

About the role

The organisation is launching an insurance brokerage business and seeks a senior leader to act as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. Reporting to both the Board and the Group Managing Director, the role will shape strategy, drive growth and ensure regulatory compliance for the new venture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement multi‑year business plans and growth strategies.
• Identify and cultivate new market opportunities and expand the existing client base.
• Lead hiring and build a high‑performing insurance team.
• Maintain and grow relationships with key clients, brokers and insurance carriers.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and ensure targets are met.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and manage risk frameworks.
• Present performance and strategic updates at quarterly Board and Management Review meetings.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in insurance brokerage or related financial services.
• Strong track record of developing and executing business strategies that deliver profitability.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and build partnerships.
• Experience in leading teams, driving a culture of excellence and managing change.
• Deep understanding of regulatory and risk management requirements in the insurance sector.
