Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director (Nigeria)

About the role

RedotPay is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director to lead its Nigerian virtual asset service provider (VASP) operations. You will be responsible for steering the business in line with group objectives while ensuring strict regulatory compliance and operational resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day management and execution of the VASP strategy, covering exchange, custody, transfers and related services.
• Oversee governance, risk management and compliance frameworks, integrating group policies on AML, fiat risk, TMS and business continuity.
• Maintain and develop relationships with SEC Nigeria and other regulators, handling licensing, reporting, audits and incident notifications.
• Ensure robust operational controls, client‑asset segregation, transaction monitoring and business continuity arrangements.
• Drive financial performance, operational efficiency and a strong risk culture while protecting the entity’s reputation.
• Coordinate with group functions (Compliance, Risk, Technology, Finance) and report regularly to the local Board and group leadership.
• Participate actively in Board meetings, contributing to strategic decisions, risk oversight and governance.

Required profile

• A first degree or equivalent in a relevant field, or a degree in a non‑relevant field with at least six years of relevant post‑qualification experience.
• Extensive senior‑level experience in financial services, fintech or crypto‑related operations, preferably within a regulated environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, manage regulatory relationships and drive strategic growth.
