Cashier - Pharmacy

About the role

A pharmacy in Ikeja, Lagos is looking for a smart, honest and customer-focused Cashier to handle daily sales transactions and provide excellent customer service. The ideal person is neat, fast and accurate with money, and passionate about customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to customers promptly and process sales transactions accurately.
• Issue receipts, operate the POS machine, handle cash and transfers, and balance daily sales.
• Record all sales, expenses and cash on hand, and submit the daily sales report.
• Receive, verify and properly arrange incoming stock, ensuring correct labeling and pricing.
• Monitor stock levels and report low stock, expired or damaged goods to the Pharmacist.
• Keep the cashier counter and shop environment clean, organized and welcoming.
• Assist in arranging and displaying products on shelves when not attending customers.

Required profile

• SSCE, OND or NCE qualification; accounting or business background is an advantage.
• 1 year of experience as a cashier, sales assistant or shop attendant (pharmacy or supermarket experience preferred).
• Very honest, fast with calculations and accurate with cash handling.
• Excellent customer service, communication and basic computer/POS skills.
• Neat, polite and honest, willing to work weekends.
• Must live close to the work location.
