Cashier

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Lagos State, Nigeria. The Cashier will manage customer transactions, operate the point‑of‑sale system, and ensure accurate daily cash reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Receive payments, issue receipts, and process cash, card, and electronic transactions.
• Operate the POS system, balance the cash drawer, and reconcile daily sales.
• Answer customer queries, provide basic service information, and direct customers to appropriate staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized cashier station and follow financial controls.
• Report any discrepancies and collaborate with team members to support front‑desk operations.

Required profile

• Strong numeracy and attention to detail for handling cash and reconciliation.
• Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Customer‑service orientation with patience, courtesy, and ability to manage queues.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast‑paced environment, including weekends or shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in accounting, finance, or business is a plus.
