Cashier – Entry Level

About the role

Swift Consulting is seeking an entry‑level Cashier to join its team in Enugu. You will be the front‑line point of contact for customers, handling payments accurately and ensuring a smooth checkout experience.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process customer payments via cash, POS and other accepted methods.
• Issue receipts and record every transaction in the system.
• Balance the cash register at the start and end of each shift without discrepancies.
• Maintain daily transaction records and generate reports.
• Monitor and report any cash shortages, float discrepancies or suspicious activity.

Required profile

• Minimum Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar customer‑facing role is an advantage.
• Strong numerical ability and high integrity when handling cash.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Honest, detail‑oriented and able to work efficiently under pressure.
