Business Development Officer - Oil & Gas Engineering & Technical Services

About the role

JV Management Consulting Ltd is recruiting a full-time, on-site Business Development Officer for its Oil & Gas Engineering and Technical Services business in Lekki, Lagos. The officer drives new B2B business and leads end-to-end sales cycles, from prospect identification to contract negotiation and closing.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify prospects, analyze client needs and build long-term relationships with corporate customers
• Prepare proposals and lead sales cycles, including contract negotiation and closing
• Conduct market research and maintain a strong sales pipeline
• Collaborate with technical and finance teams to develop tailored solutions and ensure timely delivery of services
• Meet revenue targets and prepare sales reports
• Attend client meetings, represent the company at industry events and support initiatives that improve brand visibility

Required profile

• Proven track record in B2B sales and contract closing in the oil and gas or engineering services sector
• Relevant academic background in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field is beneficial
• Experience in the oil and gas industry or technical services is an advantage
• Ability to work on-site in Lekki and manage multiple accounts

Required skills

• Analytical skills and basic finance understanding to evaluate opportunities, prepare pricing proposals and support revenue forecasting
• Excellent communication and customer service skills for stakeholder engagement and client relationship management
• Use of CRM and productivity tools
