Business Development Manager - Nutri Wellness Products

About the role

Alfred & Victoria Associates, a Nigerian ICT solutions company offering consulting, recruitment and training, is recruiting a Business Development Manager for its Nutri Wellness Products line in Lagos. The role focuses on high-volume commercial execution: driving aggressive sales velocity, securing premium shelf placement in retail drug stores and expanding distribution through wholesalers, pharmacy chains and open-market trade channels so that 100% of product is available everywhere.

Key responsibilities

• Drive unit volumes of mass-market lines to meet weekly, monthly and annual revenue targets.
• Liquidate stock quickly through high-volume trade channels, sub-wholesalers and major retail hubs.
• Negotiate bulk deals and trade campaigns for fast inventory turnover.
• Secure eye-level shelf placement in target pharmacies and drug stores and implement merchandising standards that maximise brand visibility.
• Deploy point-of-sale materials (POSMs) to capture consumer attention at the retail level.
• Map and onboard new drug stores, pharmacies and patent medicine vendors.
• Manage relationships with distributors and trade partners to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Monitor store-level inventory to prevent stockouts and run localised trade promotions, push programmes and retail incentives.
• Track competitor pricing, shelving tactics and bonus structures and feed findings back to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Medical Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• At least 4 years of proven sales experience in FMCG, OTC pharmaceuticals or mass-market dietary supplements.
• Proven track record managing high-volume distribution and field merchandising campaigns.
• Active network of relationships with wholesale drug markets, pharmacy chains and retail buyers.
