Business Development Manager

About the role

EquaCore helps organizations design, implement and evolve modern service operations, offering enterprise service management assessment, implementation, process design, training and talent augmentation through pre-vetted Nigerian ServiceNow professionals. It operates from Nigeria and serves clients across Africa, Europe and North America. The Business Development Manager is a full-time, hybrid position based in Lagos, with some flexibility to work from home.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in enterprise service management for technologies such as HaloITSM, ServiceNow, FreshWorks, Claude and talent augmentation, while nurturing existing client relationships.
• Prospect and qualify leads, and prepare and deliver proposals and presentations.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to align solutions with client needs.
• Track pipeline activity, forecast revenue and support go-to-market strategies, including industry events and digital outreach.
• Gather market insights, contribute to service offerings and ensure clear handover between sales and project teams.

Required profile

• Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification and deal closing.
• 6 to 8 years of experience in B2B solution selling, preferably in IT services, enterprise service management or SaaS platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in African or international markets and familiarity with hybrid work are an advantage.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of service operations and ITSM platforms (HaloITSM, ServiceNow, FreshWorks or similar).
• Competence with CRM tools, sales analytics and basic productivity software (spreadsheets, slide decks).
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
