Business Development Manager – AI-Enabled Legal Services

About the role

Chibasco is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth of its AI‑native legal services across corporate and transactional matters. Based on‑site in Lagos (or Abuja), you will identify new client opportunities, build strategic relationships, and help position the firm’s innovative solutions in global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development plans targeting corporate and transactional clients.
• Identify, pursue, and close new client opportunities, managing the full sales pipeline.
• Prepare compelling pitches, proposals, and marketing collateral.
• Track pipeline activity, performance metrics, and market trends to refine targeting.
• Coordinate events, thought‑leadership initiatives, and cross‑practice campaigns to strengthen brand awareness.
• Collaborate closely with partners, practice leaders, and attorneys to align service offerings with client needs.

Required profile

• Proven business development and client relationship management experience in professional services or legal environments.
• Strong market analysis and strategic planning capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for client meetings and internal collaboration.
• Organizational and project‑management ability to coordinate multi‑step initiatives.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and sales analytics platforms.
• Understanding of corporate, finance, or transactional law services is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Law, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Proactive, goal‑oriented mindset with a commitment to ethical and inclusive practices.
