Solar Sales Engineer

About the role

BlueWave Energy is seeking a motivated Solar Sales Engineer to expand its solar and energy storage business in Nigeria. The role involves understanding client energy needs and delivering appropriate solutions with engineering support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business for solar PV, energy storage, and integrated solutions.
• Identify client needs and recommend suitable solar systems.
• Manage the sales pipeline from inquiry and quotation to contract signing.
• Build and maintain relationships with residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop technical proposals and project solutions.
• Meet monthly sales targets and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain ongoing client follow‑up to foster long‑term partnerships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical Studies, Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Prior experience in solar energy, electrical products, technical sales or related industries preferred.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to understand technical solutions and articulate their benefits.
• Sales‑oriented mindset with a strong drive to achieve targets.
• Experience in B2B or B2C sales preferred.
• Open to candidates based in Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Port Harcourt, Onitsha and other major Nigerian cities.
