Business Development Executive

About the role

Felton Energy Services Ltd is looking for ambitious, results-driven Business Development Executives to support client acquisition, relationship management and revenue growth. The role suits people with experience in banks, insurance companies, fintechs, microfinance banks, investment firms or other financial institutions who want to move into a fast-paced business development setting in the oil and gas and engineering sectors. It is based in Lekki, Lagos, reports to the Business Development Manager and is open to candidates with 0-2 years of experience.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Conduct market research and generate qualified leads.
• Attend client meetings, presentations and business development engagements.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and sales documentation.
• Follow up on inquiries and turn opportunities into business.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.
• Support tendering, procurement and project opportunity identification.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver excellent client service.
• Achieve assigned business development and revenue targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in banking, insurance, fintech, customer relationship management, sales or business development.
• Experience managing client relationships and generating business opportunities.
• Preferred: background in commercial banks, microfinance banks, fintech, insurance or investment firms, or customer service and relationship management roles.

Required skills

• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-motivated, target-driven and eager to learn.
