Business Developer – Healthcare Market Expansion

About the role

Synergy Aesthetic Ltd is seeking a Business Developer to drive growth of its healthcare services in Lagos. The role focuses on identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and launching innovative health solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to uncover underserved specialties, telemedicine needs, and potential insurance collaborations.
• Analyze competitor activity, patient demand, funding trends and health policies to spot gaps such as dialysis center shortages or corporate health‑check requirements.
• Establish and nurture relationships with HMOs, insurance firms, NGOs, government agencies, corporate clients, pharmacies, labs and hospitals.
• Negotiate contracts and secure agreements for service referrals, staff health plans and supply partnerships.
• Lead sales initiatives for hospital services, medical devices, health‑tech platforms and pharma products.
• Collaborate with doctors and operations teams to design new service packages (e.g., maternity bundles, chronic‑care programs) and ensure regulatory compliance with NAFDAC, NHIA and related bodies.
• Organise health outreach events, medical fairs and CSR activities to strengthen brand presence.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as patient volume, revenue growth and partnership ROI, reporting findings to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of relevant experience in business development or sales within the healthcare sector.
• University degree in a related field.
• Strong networking, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Good understanding of healthcare systems, industry practices and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyse data and translate insights into strategic decisions.
