Building Engineer

About the role

Castel Resources is hiring a Building Engineer in Anambra, Nigeria, to supervise building construction and monitor daily site activities. The role covers interpretation of plans and drawings, coordination of contractors and suppliers, and reporting to management.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise building construction and monitor daily site activities.
• Interpret building plans, technical drawings and construction specifications.
• Coordinate contractors, artisans, suppliers and other project personnel.
• Inspect completed work and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Monitor construction materials, workmanship and project progress.
• Identify site challenges and recommend practical technical solutions.
• Prepare site reports and give regular updates to management.

Required profile

• HND in Building Technology, Building Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in building construction and site supervision.
• Willingness to work in Awka, Anambra State.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of construction methods, materials and building specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret building drawings.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
