Building and Construction Associate

About the role

MaterialsPro is looking for an ambitious Commercial Associate with a background in the built environment to support customer acquisition, partnerships, commercial operations and industry engagement. The role suits someone who understands construction and is passionate about business growth and value creation across the construction ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Support customer acquisition and relationship management across the construction industry.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and assist with material estimations for client projects.
• Identify and develop partnership opportunities with industry stakeholders.
• Engage contractors, developers, consultants and other key players in the built environment.
• Monitor industry trends, innovations and market opportunities to support business growth.
• Collaborate with the Communications team on educational and commercial content for the construction industry.
• Support market research, lead generation and business development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate customer and partnership records using CRM tools.
• Represent MaterialsPro at industry events, exhibitions and networking sessions.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience; NYSC experience is welcome.
• Strong commercial mindset with an interest in sales, partnerships and business development.
• Good understanding of construction materials and the project delivery process.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational abilities.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment.
