BI/Data Analyst

About the role

CredPal, a financial technology company offering credit cards and investment solutions, is looking for a mid-level BI/Data Analyst in Lagos. The role covers managing data sets, building reports and troubleshooting data issues, using data to inform strategy and decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run databases, data collection systems and analytics strategies to improve statistical efficiency and quality.
• Build a data warehousing strategy, including data models, integration processes and governance policies.
• Build scalable ETL pipelines that extract, transform and load data, handling cleansing and enrichment.
• Analyse data and statistics to design efficient operating systems.
• Create dashboards and data summaries for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Work with product managers, engineers and designers on data strategies for product innovation and acquisition.
• Own analytics for key metrics such as conversion rate, visitor segmentation, time to conversion and referrals.
• Communicate analytical findings clearly to stakeholders and promote data-informed decision-making.
• Develop, report and analyse KPIs, and collaborate with Product, Marketing and Engineering teams on event tracking and measurement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence or a related role.
• Ability to manage and analyse large datasets, work independently and handle several projects at once.
• Willingness to start immediately.

Required skills

• SQL for data extraction, transformation and analysis.
• BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker or Metabase.
• ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with Python or R for statistical analysis and data modelling.
• Experience with Metabase, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude or similar tracking tools.
• Understanding of A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.
