Bid Manager

About the role

CIG Motors is looking for a Bid Manager to lead the preparation and submission of bids and proposals in response to tenders. The role ensures that client requirements are met, proposals are competitive and aligned with company capabilities, and works closely with internal departments to drive business development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and submission of bids, ensuring technical, financial and legal aspects meet client requirements, and work with sales, finance and operations teams to gather and verify proposal content.
• Work with the sales team to understand client needs, liaise with external partners and suppliers, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Analyse the competitive landscape to develop winning bid strategies, ensure bids are financially and technically competitive, and take part in post-bid reviews.
• Identify bid-related risks and work with legal and compliance teams so submissions meet company policies, legal requirements and client specifications.
• Maintain a library of standard templates and documents, keeping bid documentation accurate and accessible.
• Collaborate with finance on cost estimates and pricing, monitor financial performance of completed bids, and report regularly to senior management on bid performance and market trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in bid management or a similar role, preferably in automotive, manufacturing or technical industries.
• Proven track record managing bids and tenders for large projects.
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian business environment and regulatory frameworks.
