Banking Relationship Manager

About the role

A full-time Banking Relationship Manager position based in Abuja, focused on growing the bank's business through new client acquisition, credit management and portfolio oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share, generating leads for loans and investments
• Implement the company's business development and marketing strategies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders
• Assess the creditworthiness of potential clients and recommend credit facilities
• Prepare and deliver business proposals to attract new clients
• Contribute to growth strategies by identifying emerging market trends, customers, partnerships, products and services
• Oversee the loan portfolio to ensure timely repayments and minimal defaults, using sound credit judgment to keep non-performing loans low
• Monitor accounts under management and research new ways to reach existing markets

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, business development and credit management within financial services
• Proven track record of achieving business development targets
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of credit analysis, risk assessment and financial products
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
