Bank Teller – Nationwide

About the role

Catilas Resources Limited is recruiting, on behalf of a leading commercial bank, fresh graduates to join as Bank Tellers. The position is full-time and open nationwide.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service and inquiry handling: respond to customers by phone, email and face-to-face, explain banking products, services, policies and procedures, and keep a professional attitude.
• Cash handling and tellering: process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and payments accurately, handle cash, reconcile daily transactions and balance cash drawers, and issue cheques, drafts and other banking instruments.
• Issue resolution and support: spot counterfeit notes, report suspicious transactions, resolve complaints, investigate discrepancies and help customers with online and mobile banking issues.
• Requests and transactions: facilitate account openings, loan applications and card issuance, and assist with orders and transaction tracking.
• Customer education and cross-selling: explain product features and promote loans, savings plans and investment options.
• Records management and compliance: keep accurate customer records, document interactions, and follow AML and data protection rules.
• Collaboration and performance: work with other departments, meet service metrics such as response time and resolution rate, and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of Second Class Lower.
• Aged 26 or younger.
• Banking operations experience is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Strong numerical, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Integrity, professionalism and a strong work ethic.
