Backend Software Developer – Java/Spring

About the role

Accelerex, a leading licensed provider of electronic payments and fintech solutions in Nigeria, is expanding its development team. The company seeks a Backend Software Developer to help build secure, innovative products for businesses and consumers across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, product, and marketing teams to translate requirements into functional specifications.
• Design and implement major backend features from scratch using Java/Spring, C#/ASP.NET or PHP/Laravel.
• Write unit tests and work closely with QA to ensure high‑quality releases.
• Contribute to overall product architecture and design decisions.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Engineering, Computer Science or a related scientific discipline.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to evolving project needs.

Required skills

• Java programming, preferably with the Spring framework.
• C# development, preferably with ASP.NET.
• PHP development, preferably with Laravel.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming.
• Experience with relational and non‑relational database management systems.
