Auto Electrical Technician – Heavy Equipment

About the role

The Auto Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the electrical systems of tractors, harvesters, loaders, heavy‑duty equipment and support vehicles. The role ensures maximum equipment availability through effective diagnostics, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance while complying with safety standards and SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise electrical maintenance activities for tractors, harvesters, loaders, heavy‑duty equipment and fleet vehicles.
• Coordinate electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and rectify faults promptly.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for charging systems, lighting, sensors, wiring harnesses and electronic control systems.
• Ensure timely availability of electrical spare parts by coordinating with stores and procurement.
• Monitor repair quality to achieve first‑time fix and reduce repeat failures.
• Review maintenance records to analyse recurring faults and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum OND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or related discipline.
• At least 3 years’ experience in electrical maintenance of heavy‑duty equipment, tractors, harvesters, loaders and fleet vehicles.
