Area Sales Manager - Diagnostics, Owerri

About the role

An experienced sales leader is sought to own the diagnostics business in the Owerri area. The role leads the local sales effort, builds lasting customer partnerships and delivers sustainable revenue growth. It reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver the area sales target and business plan for diagnostics products
• Lead, coach and monitor the performance of sales executives in the area
• Develop and execute territory strategies to grow market share and key accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, laboratories, diagnostic centres, distributors and government health institutions
• Oversee pipeline management, forecasting and timely collection of receivables
• Negotiate major contracts and tenders in line with company policy
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends and recommend commercial responses
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and ethical sales practices
• Prepare and present regular performance reports to the Regional Sales Manager

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (minimum 2:1) in a relevant field; Master's degree (e.g. MBA) and/or relevant professional certification
• Several years of progressive sales experience in diagnostics, medical devices or healthcare, including team leadership
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Strong knowledge of the South East healthcare market
• Willingness to travel within the area
