Area Business Manager – Afikpo, Ebonyi State

About the role

The Area Business Manager will lead the direct distribution of Sun King Solar products sold on a Pay‑As‑You‑Buy (EasyBuy) basis across Afikpo, Ebonyi State. Reporting to the Regional Business Manager, South East, you will be responsible for building a high‑performing team of Energy Officers and ensuring rapid, sustainable growth of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and retain at least 40 Energy Officers using local influencers such as village heads, teachers and religious leaders.
• Provide comprehensive product, sales, collections, inventory and logistics training to the Energy Officers.
• Define clear daily tasks, routes, sales targets and collection plans for each Energy Officer.
• Conduct weekly field visits, joint sales activities and night or market activations to drive engagement and monitor performance.
• Assist Energy Officers with their first five sales to ensure proper understanding of sales and collection processes.
• Report weekly progress, challenges and opportunities to the Regional Business Manager.

• Proven ability to hire, coach and manage a large field sales team.
• Strong leadership with high integrity, ethics and professionalism.
• Excellent communication skills to provide clear guidance and resolve issues on the ground.
