Accounts/Tax Officer

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts/Tax Officer to join our professional services team in Lagos. The role involves handling tax compliance, preparing statutory returns, and supporting clients with accounting services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file statutory tax returns (CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.).
• Conduct tax audits and compliance reviews.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and perform account reconciliations.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping and accounting services.
• Use accounting software to generate reports and record transactions.
• Collaborate with team members on projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
• ICAN, ACA or ACCA qualification (preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in taxation and accounting, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
