Accounts Receivable & Income Auditor

About the role

The Accounts Receivable & Income Auditor will work under the Finance Manager at Fraser Suites Abuja, ensuring accurate capture, reporting and control of all hotel revenue streams. This role requires a thorough understanding of hotel operations, finance policies and close collaboration with front‑office and outlet teams.

Key responsibilities

• Audit daily revenue figures, supporting reports and vouchers to guarantee all income is recorded.
• Review entertainment and officer checks for proper authorization and detail.
• Validate complimentary room authorisations and telephone revenue postings.
• Reconcile credit‑card charges between electronic machines and POS systems on a daily basis.
• Prepare rebate and allowance summaries, journal entries and month‑end journals.
• Monitor and adjust credit limits for in‑house guests and city‑ledger balances.
• Conduct surprise cash float checks for General Cashier and Front Office.
• Follow up on returned cheques, credit‑card charge‑backs and outstanding accounts.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of hotel revenue control and credit policies.
• Ability to work with multiple departments and maintain accurate records.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Experience in preparing and reconciling financial reports.
