Accounts Officer / Book Keeper

About the role

The Accounts Officer/Book Keeper will support the finance team by processing daily transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with month‑end activities. The role is based in Lagos and works with Odoo ERP and standard accounting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Post supplier and customer invoices, payment and receipt vouchers in Odoo and reconcile petty cash daily.
• Organise and file source documents, both physical and digital, ensuring quick retrieval and proper approvals.
• Assist with daily bank reconciliations, supplier statement matching, and inventory‑finance reconciliations.
• Prepare accrual listings, pre‑payment schedules, update the fixed‑asset register, and generate aged payables/receivables reports for month‑end close.

Required profile

• OND in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Basic knowledge of double‑entry bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with accounting software; ERP knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong organisational and filing abilities.
