About the role

GestPoint Nigeria Limited is seeking a diligent Accountant to join its finance team in Marina, Lagos. The role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities for a growing real‑estate portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Nigerian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and periodic reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, perform bank reconciliations, and oversee payroll processing.
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements on schedule.
• Handle tax filings and ensure compliance with PAYE, VAT, WHT and other statutory requirements.
• Support budgeting, financial forecasting, and assist with internal and external audit processes.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in real‑estate, construction or investment firms.
• ICAN (ACA) certification strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
