Accountant – Full-time (Lagos)

About the role

Power Ark LTD is seeking a diligent Accountant to oversee daily accounting and bookkeeping functions for its operations in Lagos. The role involves ensuring accurate financial records, supporting management reporting, and maintaining compliance with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile customer payments across cash, transfers, and POS channels.
• Maintain and file supporting documentation for all financial transactions.
• Manage petty cash, perform bank reconciliations, and prepare monthly financial statements.
• Produce management accounts and other periodic financial reports.
• Ensure records are audit‑ready and comply with internal controls.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
• Handle statutory and regulatory accounting obligations as required.
• Perform additional finance‑related tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting (mandatory).
• At least 3 years of post‑NYSC accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• ICAN/ATS certification or active pursuit of a professional qualification is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
