Accountant – Finance & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join GV Alliance Partners Limited in Lagos. The role involves managing statutory payments, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with Nigerian financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of statutory payments, including Withholding Tax, revenue remittances and other regulatory obligations.
• Prepare and monitor monthly budgets covering payroll, procurement and operational expenses.
• Manage petty cash disbursements and maintain detailed transaction records.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local financial regulations such as Tax Clearance, NSITF and Pension obligations.
• Liaise with external auditors to facilitate timely preparation of audited financial statements and tax documentation.
• Organise and file all accounting and finance records, both electronic and physical.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Analyse financial data and provide recommendations for cost‑saving and operational improvements.
• Support internal and external audit exercises by providing required documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, cash‑flow planning and monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support organisational goals.
• Perform other finance and administrative duties as assigned by Management.

Required profile

• BSc in Accounting or Finance.
• 4–7 years of post‑NYSC experience.
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA or ICAN (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial reporting standards.
• Audit experience.
• Residence near Victoria Island, Lagos.
