Account Sales Manager – Group & Catering Sales

About the role

The Account Sales Manager will proactively generate and manage group and catering business for the Sheraton Lagos Hotel. This full‑time, onsite position focuses on identifying opportunities, up‑selling services, and delivering exceptional customer experiences to drive revenue and loyalty.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new group and catering opportunities to meet personal and property revenue targets.
• Respond to inbound requests outside the Event Booking Center’s parameters, negotiate contracts, and close sales.
• Prepare proposals, write contracts, and coordinate with support staff to ensure smooth execution of events.
• Monitor same‑day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and occupancy.
• Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitor activity, and target customer expectations.
• Deliver service excellence throughout the customer journey to foster loyalty and increase account share.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, guest services, or related fields, OR a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of hospitality market dynamics and ability to sell against competition.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
