Account Officer (Pharmacy)

About the role

A community pharmacy in Ikeja is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Account Officer to support its day-to-day financial and administrative operations. The role covers bookkeeping, daily accounting, inventory records and data entry.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial and accounting records, including daily bookkeeping and accounting entries.
• Record and monitor daily sales and expenses.
• Maintain inventory records, assist with stock reconciliation and monitor stock movement to spot discrepancies.
• Enter financial, sales and inventory data into the appropriate systems.
• Prepare basic daily and periodic financial reports.
• Keep records of invoices, receipts, payments and other financial documents, and reconcile cash, sales and inventory records.
• Organize records so they stay up to date and support other administrative and accounting duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum of an OND, HND, NCE or equivalent; a BSc is not mandatory.
• Previous pharmacy experience is not required.
• Must reside in or close to Ikeja; no accommodation is provided.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and basic accounting tools.
• Strong attention to detail, good numerical and record-keeping skills, and ability to keep confidential records organized.
