Account Officer

About the role

The Account Officer will support Nigeria Distilleries Limited by ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining robust vendor and customer relationships, and providing reliable financial information for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and execute payments on schedule to avoid penalties.
• Track customer invoices and collections to sustain cash flow and minimise bad debt.
• Prepare tax schedules in line with applicable laws and submit them on time.
• Compile and analyse production and sales reports to highlight trends and variances.
• Maintain and update the asset register for accurate asset tracking.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing by keeping precise financial records.
• Reconcile inventory records to ensure correct stock levels for production planning.
• Reclassify monthly cost‑centre expenses for proper cost allocation.
• Gather departmental expenses each month and compare them against the budget.
• Prepare regular financial reports for the Financial Controller.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
