Account Officer – Accounts Receivable

About the role

Seal Energy is seeking an Account Officer to manage its accounts receivable function in Lagos. You will be responsible for ensuring timely invoicing, accurate record‑keeping, and effective follow‑up on overdue payments. This role offers the chance to work within a dynamic energy company and contribute to its financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and promptly.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and reconcile receivable balances.
• Prepare aging reports and provide regular updates on outstanding receivables.
• Support audits by providing required receivable documentation.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in accounts receivable, finance, or a similar accounting role.
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or ATS is an advantage.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
