About the role
The Warehouse Officer supports the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor in managing and accounting for goods stored in the warehouse. This role ensures that all commodities are stored under appropriate conditions, documented accurately, and reported in line with International Medical Corps (IMC) Warehouse Manual, donor requirements, and local regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Implement IMC warehouse procedures and ensure compliance with donor and host‑country laws.
- Maintain accurate stock records, conduct regular physical counts, and prepare Goods Received Notes (GRN).
- Monitor storage conditions (temperature, humidity) and isolate hazardous or non‑usable items.
- Track shelf life, report stock levels, and alert owners of discrepancies.
- Process stock adjustments, report losses or damages, and support inventory dispatch tracking.
- Supervise volunteers, casual labor, and visitors; set performance objectives and monitor performance.
- Ensure safe warehouse operations, maintain handling equipment, and manage packing and protective supplies.
- Oversee kitting, de‑kitting, re‑conditioning, and release of goods according to approved Goods Issue Orders.
Required profile
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain transparent documentation.
- Strong attention to detail for inventory accuracy and loss prevention.
- Capability to work with diverse teams, including volunteers and casual staff.
- Willingness to adhere to safety and compliance standards.
