Valve Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Valve Technician to join TAG Energy’s operations in Port Harcourt. The role involves repairing, testing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial valves at client facilities, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, measure, reassemble and test control valves, PSVs, PCVs, ball, gate, butterfly, safety relief and solenoid valves.
• Perform valve repairs and calibrations on hydraulic and electric actuators.
• Follow schematics and documented procedures in line with Quality Control standards.
• Complete all calibration records and documentation associated with testing and repairs.
• Provide timely updates to management, co‑workers and customers on job progress.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of industrial experience with valve repair and maintenance.
• Health, Safety and Environment certification.
• Knowledge of ASME II, ASME VIII, ASME IX, ASME V and API 5L standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Basic understanding of corrosion control and non‑destructive examination techniques.
