Truck Inspector – Heavy‑Duty Vehicle Safety

About the role

Sunda International is seeking an experienced Truck Inspector to ensure that dispatched and self‑owned commercial trucks meet safety, environmental, and maintenance standards. The role involves hands‑on inspection of heavy‑duty vehicles at our Igbesa facility, helping keep unsafe trucks off the loading bay and public roads.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical components such as brakes, tyres, lights, and suspension systems.
• Review driver logs and verify compliance with state, regional, and federal transportation safety regulations.
• Operate diagnostic tools and testing equipment to assess vehicle condition.
• Document findings and issue pass/fail reports for each inspected truck.
• Coordinate with drivers and maintenance teams to address identified issues promptly.

Required profile

• OND/HND/BSc or equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of heavy‑duty truck mechanics and automotive systems.
• Familiarity with transportation safety laws at state, regional, and federal levels.
• Valid driver’s licence and physical ability to lift equipment and access vehicle undercarriages.
