Truck Inspector

About the role

Sunda International is seeking a qualified Truck Inspector to join its transportation department in Igbesa, Ogun State. The role involves inspecting dispatched and company‑owned commercial and heavy‑duty trucks to ensure they meet safety, environmental, and maintenance standards before they reach the loading bay or public roads.

Key responsibilities

• Examine mechanical components such as brakes, tyres, lights, and other safety systems.
• Review driver logs and verify compliance with state, regional, and federal transportation regulations.
• Operate diagnostic tools and testing equipment to assess vehicle condition.
• Prepare detailed pass/fail reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and communicate findings to relevant teams.

Required profile

• OND/HND/BSc or equivalent qualification.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment and accessing vehicle undersides.
• Strong understanding of heavy‑duty truck mechanics and automotive systems.
• Familiarity with transportation safety laws at state, regional, and federal levels.
