Inventory Controller

About the role

As an Inventory Controller at APM Terminals, a Maersk company, you will manage inventory processes that support business continuity and equipment availability in a fast‑paced port environment. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to optimise stock levels, improve accuracy and drive cost‑saving initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse inventory data to support effective stock management and decision‑making.
• Review Material Requirement Planning (MRP) activities and monitor demand requirements.
• Process and monitor inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments and reconciliations.
• Track purchased versus issued inventory and produce regular performance reports.
• Lead inventory clean‑up, cost‑saving projects and coordinate cycle counts, perpetual counts and stock audits.
• Investigate discrepancies, implement corrective actions and verify goods receipt with end users.

Required profile

• Minimum HND or BSc degree in a relevant discipline.
• 3–4 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing or related supply‑chain functions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced operational setting.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems for inventory planning, tracking and reporting.
• Understanding of MRP processes and inventory optimisation techniques.
• Strong Excel or similar data‑analysis tools.
